# Node Operators

<figure><img src="/files/tCS36XEPLMnOQOJjyOYU" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Node operators are fundamental in the Eigenlayer ecosystem, leveraging their processing power to maintain and enhance various blockchain-based services by utilizing restaked ETH. Operators have the freedom to select the services they wish to provide, guided by instructions from Eigenlayer's Automated Validator Services (AVS).

Individuals and organizations can become node operators, thus strengthening the network's robustness and expanding its functional scope. By integrating with Eigenlayer, they enable Ethereum stakers to delegate their assets, fostering a safer and more efficient network. Their engagement with different AVS plays a pivotal role in augmenting and diversifying the network's functionalities, supporting the growth and adaptability of the broader blockchain ecosystem.
